Life after death: Why capital punishment does not work in Pakistan
This is a story that is very dear to my heart. I worked on it for close to a year and travelled to the city of Lahore three times, twice to the city of Rahim Yar Khan in south of Punjab and followed the story of a woman in Karachi — who was in prison when I began the assignment and was later acquitted during the course of my research.
You can find other long-form stories I worked on at this link: https://www.subukhasnain.com/longform-reporting
